Ursula as She
| American audiences first saw Ursula in the British film, Dr. No, the first James Bond movie, with Sean Connery. Before that she had been appearing in European films, mostly Italian, since 1954 (Le Avventure di Giacomo Casanova). Fun In Acapulco was her first American-made film. Her U.S. film career didn't take off after these two films like everyone expected, although she remains a big European star to this day. Some say it's the "Bond Girl" curse: leading ladies in the Bond films never seem to make it afterwards. Then again, maybe it's Fun In Acapulco that put the hex on her. After all, it was Elvis' 13th film, there were 13 songs on the soundtrack, and... (GASP!)... there are 13 letters in the film's title AND in "Ursula Andress"!! ( ...she was doomed from the start... )
